CONTROLLING WATER AND AIR POLLUTION FROM CONCRETE AND CEMENT BLACK MANUFACTURERS

Snowshoe, West Virginia
November 3, 2005

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

You are invited to attend a free workshop to learn about the requirements and techniques for controlling water and air pollution from concrete and cement block manufacturers.

This is one of seven workshops related to storm water and linked environmental issues in West Virginia. Streams near small communities across the state are impacted by storm water, which is one of our most significant water quality and quantity problems. Impacts can be reduced using a variety of techniques. This workshop is ideal for owners, operators, environmental managers, engineering consultants, and others who work in the concrete and cement block manufacturing industry.

This workshop first focuses on the regulatory requirements for NPDES water pollution discharge permits for storm water and process water. An environmental inspector will then present common problems found at these facilities and will introduce solutions. Information will also be presented on air pollution permits. Time will be provided to answer specific questions you have about your facility.
