Options in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS
Options in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS include the "ALL" options for each category,
and other group headings for contaminants and technologies. Selecting
"ALL" in any category is equivalent to selecting every option within
that category. Selecting a capitalized group heading for contaminants
or technologies is equivalent to selecting all non-capitalized options
below the group heading. For example, selecting "ALL BASIC WATER QUALITY
PARAMETERS" in the contaminants category is equivalent to selecting
"All Basic Water Quality Measures," "Color," "Odor," "Total Dissolved
Solids," and "Other Basic Water Quality Measures."
Clarifications for selected database fields
Treatment capacity. Treatment capacity may be a range or a single
number, and may correspond to the maximum or design capacity or the
average production. Values are entered in the database as they are given
in the questionnaire.
Vendors. Vendors include manufacturers or suppliers of treatment
equipment, distributors of chemicals used in the treatment, and consulting
firms.
Other selection. The word "other" in a selection means those
that are not included in the above mentioned selections. For example,
"Other Inorganic Chemicals" represents those that are not mentioned
above, or some new chemicals that may be included in the future.
