Regulations
By the beginning of 2006, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
had implemented 87 primary drinking water standards and 15 secondary standards.
Keeping up with all these regulations and the rules that go along with
them can be mind boggling.
This site, developed by EPA’s Office of Ground Water and Drinking
Water, lists all current regulations by the date they were issued and
provides links to guidance manuals and fact sheets for all of them. It
also has proposed rules, the code of federal regulations, and drinking
water standards, including the contaminants and maximum contamination
load.
