Selecting search terms

You may search the database by keyword, author, title, year of pulication, or source, or by any combination of these categories.

Some categories use the "Equals" method, which allows you to select one or more options from a list. Other categories use the "Contains" method, which allows you to enter a part of a word, a whole word, or a multi-word phrase separated by spaces. The Keyword category allows you to search using either the "Equals" or the "Contains" method.

Keyword
If you know the exact keyword and it is present in the keyword list, select that keyword and leave all other entries blank. Then press "Search."

If you know only a part of a keyword, or the keyword is not present in the keyword list, select "Contains" and enter a part of a word, a whole word, or a multi-word phrase separated by spaces. Then press "Search."

NOTE: If you select "Contains," any words selected from the list of keywords in the "Equals" section will not be included in the search.
