Environmental
Technology Initiative (ETI)
As
part of the Environmental Technology Initiative (ETI), the
NSFC collected information about approximately 600 innovative
wastewater technology projects that were funded through the
EPA's former Construction Grants Program. The
ETI project also included gathering and assessing information
about onsite technologies.
The
information collected was used to develop fact sheets, designed
to
give people the information they need to choose
the most suitable wastewater technology/practice for their
situation—whether it be for single-family residences,
clusters of homes, subdivisions, or communities.
Two
versions of fact sheets are available for each technology:
- a
four-page technical overview for engineers, manufacturers,
regulators, and other technical audiences and
- a
two-page general overview for elected officials and the
public.
Both
fact sheets describe how the technology works, its advantages
and disadvantages, operation and maintenance, and costs. However,
the technical fact sheets also include design/process specifications,
performance characteristics, and application results in the
form of case studies.

from this site. You can download
from our "ETI Fact Sheets" page, which includes
descriptions of each fact sheet (both technical and general
versions).
How
To Order Copies
The
ETI fact sheets can be ordered as one package, or as separate
fact sheets. General versions cost 20 cents each, and technical
versions cost 40 cents each.
For
a package of all of the general fact sheets, request Item

the technical fact sheets, request Item

is $5.20).
